Jill + Josh’s Wedding: Mackinac Island: 7.25.08

Ceremony: The little Stone Church, Mackinac Island, Michigan

Reception: The Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, Michigan

Photographers: Gina & Matt

Mackinac Island is a very important place to Jill & Josh. Both of them have had a long time love affair with Lake Michigan and sailing in general. In fact Josh took part in the race to Mackinac Island just a few days before the wedding. Now that’s hardcore!

An important detail to keep in mind about the Island is that they have completely banned motorized transportation for more than a century. That means the entire bridal party got around all day by horse and buggy. How cool is that?

The little stone church, was the quaintest little church I have ever seen. It really was the ideal location for Jill & Josh to exchange their vows. I love the picture below of them sharing their first kiss. I’m guessing Josh is at least a foot taller than his very petite bride.

Every detail of the day was picture perfect. The Grand Hotel is the most famous hotel on the Island and was a spectacular place for the reception. They held it out on the porch which happens to be the largest porch in the entire world! Complete with panoramic views of Lake Michigan from your table.

We had such a wonderful time all weekend. Thank you Jill & Josh for having us at your beautiful event!
