Alice + Herb’s Real Wedding : 5.29.10 : Old Orchard Country Club

Alice and Herb's wedding is very special to me. If you've been following my blog you've probably seen their engagement session and already know that she is one of the very talented designers that work here at the studio. She is also my friend and one of the sweetest people that I know! I've really waited a long time to be a part of this special day. Nothing could make me happier than to create memories for Alice and Herb to cherish.

So with that being said, it was extremely hard for me to narrow down the pictures that i wanted to show you from their big day! First off we started out with the first glance. I thought it would be fun to surprise them both with some lovely red balloons to add a whimsical touch to their portraits together. We also brought bubbles, and some other fun props. The funny thing was that i thought Alice was shy. I've said this time and time again, but something happens to a woman when she puts on a wedding dress. And it was't long until Alice was hamming it up for the camera as her inner diva came out! Not only that but she actually started directing the shots. It was too funny. I even have a shot of her telling the groomsmen how she wanted them to stand.

Also, be sure to check out all the amazing little DIY details. Alice made the beautiful custom invitations, programs, seating cards and the bridesmaids' jewelry herself. Her mother added gorgeous detailing to her dress, and did all the flowers. And her sister made the super cute love birds and guest book.

I also got to see an amazing number of my past brides and grooms at their wedding. I actually started to lose count of how many of Alice's friends are now clients of mine! It was so cool to see them all in one place and catch up. Including Alice's beautiful sister, Chanel, whose own wedding was just last year!

Michelle was also in the wedding. Many of you know her as our super talented Design Manager at the studio. It's a rare treat for me to get to take pictures of her without her getting the chance to delete them first. I just had to include some of them here so that you can all see how cute she is!!

I'm going to be posting these pictures in two parts. So here is part one of their beautiful wedding. CONGRATULATIONS, ALICE AND HERB!!! xoxoxoxoxo
