Holy cow, a blog post! Yes, as always, I’m very behind with my posts. But being too busy to blog is a good thing. All winter I have been photographing the most amazing babies and families and I’m happy to finally get to start sharing some of them with you in the coming weeks. I also have a winter wedding sneak peek coming very shortly for your viewing pleasure.

So here is the third installment of baby B. What a great year it’s been getting to photograph her amazing milestones! Sit tight and cozy up for some cuteness.

karen + dan : a chicago winter wedding

It’s such a treat to get to photograph a wedding that includes some of my most favorite vendors of all time. Every detail of Karen and Dan’s wedding was quirky and unique and perfectly reflected them as a couple. Also, purple is my favorite color! I loved the shoes and the velvet cape that Karen chose to complete her look. The combo of red and purple was so royal and just  an amazing choice for a winter wedding. One of my all time favorite things about this wedding was the gorgeous cake. I have never seen a frank lloyd wright inspired cake before, but it makes sense that if you wanted one, Tipsy Cake, would be the one to make it!

The ceremony was also very personalized to Karen and Dan’s taste. It was emotional and fun and anything but cheesy. Which was so them.  Even the party was rocking with some of the most fun party music I’ve heard in a long time. All in all, it was a picture perfect day.

Valerie + Geoff : Engaged

Valerie was a bridesmaid in one of my favorite weddings from last year. So of course I am absolutely delighted to photograph her wedding in 2012! All I can say about these pictures is: look. at. that. dress. Wow!

The two of them met at Big City Tap in Lakeview which is where we started off our session. Then we wandered around the neighborhood and found the most interesting spots to shoot in. This is my favorite way to work. I get inspired as we explored together and look at the amazing shots we got of Chicago that are not your typical engagement photos. So much fun!

Even their dog got in on the act!

baby e : 9 months

I was so excited to get to photograph the third installment of this little cutie. And we had the most perfect autumn day for our shoot! Can’t remember the last time it was this warm in October but we really took advantage and soaked up the sun.

baby J : newborn

Many of you know Alice as one of the designers from my studio. She is also my dear friend:)I was so happy last year to get to photograph her beautiful wedding. Now this year, I was able to capture these precious photos of her little man when he was only two weeks old.
